Aluminum nitrate is a white crystalline compound with the chemical formula Al(NO3)3. It is used as an oxidizing agent in various chemical reactions, in the manufacture of explosives, and as a mordant in dyeing and printing textiles. Aluminum nitrate is also employed in the production of other aluminum compounds. It is highly soluble in water and can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
