CHROME ALUM Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Chrome alum, also known as chromium potassium sulfate, is a dark purple crystalline compound with the chemical formula KCr(SO4)2·12H2O. It is used in tanning leather, as a mordant in dyeing, and in various laboratory applications. Chrome alum is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
