Dimethyl disulfide is a colorless liquid with a strong odor, represented by the chemical formula C2H6S2. It is used as a solvent and intermediate in the synthesis of various chemicals. Dimethyl disulfide is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
