HYDROLUBE-WATER/ETHYLENE GLYCOL Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Hydrolube, a combination of water and ethylene glycol, is used primarily as a coolant and antifreeze in various industrial and automotive applications. The water component provides excellent heat transfer capabilities, while ethylene glycol prevents freezing and boiling in extreme temperatures. Hydrolube is also employed as a hydraulic fluid in some systems, offering good lubrication and corrosion protection. Despite its effectiveness, ethylene glycol is toxic and poses health risks if ingested. Proper handling, storage, and disposal are essential to minimize environmental and health hazards. Personal protective equipment should be used when handling hydrolube to ensure safety.
