ALKYL ARYL SULFONATES Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Alkyl aryl sulfonates are a class of organic compounds that contain both alkyl and aryl groups attached to a sulfonate group (-SO3-). They are commonly used as surfactants in detergents, emulsifiers, and wetting agents due to their ability to reduce surface tension and enhance the solubility of oils in water. These compounds are effective in removing dirt and grease and are widely used in industrial and household cleaning products. Alkyl aryl sulfonates are generally stable but can cause skin and eye irritation upon contact. Proper handling and storage are necessary to ensure safety.
