Aminomethane, also known as methylamine, is an organic compound with the chemical formula CH3NH2. It is a colorless gas with a fishy odor and is used as an intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and solvents. Methylamine is also employed in the synthesis of dyes and resins. It is highly flammable and can cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
