AMMONIA GAS, HOT Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Hot ammonia gas is used in industrial applications requiring high-temperature processing, such as certain chemical reactions and heat treatment processes. Ammonia is a colorless gas with a pungent odor, represented by the chemical formula NH3. It is highly soluble in water and can form ammonium hydroxide. Hot ammonia gas can cause severe respiratory irritation and burns upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety when working with hot ammonia gas.
