AMMONIUM ACETATE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Ammonium acetate is a white crystalline solid with the chemical formula NH4C2H3O2. It is used as a reagent in analytical chemistry, a buffer solution in biochemistry, and as a food additive. Ammonium acetate is also employed in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and in the textile industry. While relatively non-toxic, it can cause skin and eye irritation upon contact. Proper handling and storage are essential to ensure safety.
