AMMONIUM SULFITE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Ammonium sulfite is a white crystalline compound with the chemical formula (NH4)2SO3. It is used as a reducing agent in photographic developers, as a preservative in the food industry, and in water treatment to remove chlorine and oxygen. Ammonium sulfite is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling and storage are essential to ensure safety.
