AMYL NITRITE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Amyl nitrite is a clear, yellow liquid with a fruity odor, represented by the chemical formula C5H11NO2. It is used medically as a vasodilator to treat angina pectoris and cyanide poisoning. Amyl nitrite is also employed as a reagent in chemical synthesis. It is highly flammable and can cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
