ANTHRACENE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Anthracene is a solid polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon with the chemical formula C14H10. It is used as a precursor to dyes, insecticides, and other organic compounds. Anthracene is also employed in the production of certain chemicals and in the manufacture of semiconductors. It can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
