BARIUM CARBONATE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Barium carbonate is a white crystalline solid with the chemical formula BaCO3. It is used in the manufacture of ceramics, glass, and certain chemicals. Barium carbonate is also employed in the production of barium-based compounds and as a rat poison. It is toxic and can cause severe health effects upon ingestion or inhalation. Proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
