Barium chloride is a white crystalline solid with the chemical formula BaCl2. It is used in the manufacture of pigments, ceramics, and certain chemicals. Barium chloride is also employed in water treatment and as a reagent in laboratory analyses. It is toxic and can cause severe health effects upon ingestion or inhalation. Proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
