Barium chloride is a white crystalline solid with the chemical formula BaCl2. It is used in the manufacture of pigments, ceramics, and certain chemicals. Barium chloride is also employed in water treatment and as a reagent in laboratory analyses. It is toxic and can cause severe health effects upon ingestion or inhalation.
