Castor oil is a colorless to pale yellow liquid obtained from the seeds of the castor plant. It is used as a laxative, in the manufacture of certain chemicals, and as a lubricant. Castor oil is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling and storage are essential to ensure safety.
