Dextrose is a white crystalline powder with the chemical formula C6H12O6. It is used as a sweetener, in pharmaceuticals, and in the manufacture of certain products. Dextrose is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling and storage are essential to ensure safety.
