Disilane (Si2H6) is a colorless gas with a mild odor. It is used in the semiconductor industry for doping and as a reducing agent in the production of silicon-based materials. Disilane is highly flammable and can cause severe skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety when working with this chemical.
