Ethylene diamine is a colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor, represented by the chemical formula C2H8N2. It is used as a chelating agent and in the synthesis of various chemicals, including pharmaceuticals and resins. Ethylene diamine is highly flammable and can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
