Ferrous chloride is a pale green solid represented by the chemical formula FeCl2. It is used in water treatment, as a reducing agent, and in the manufacture of certain chemicals. Ferrous chloride is highly corrosive and can cause severe skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
