PERCHLORIC ACID - 2N Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

2N perchloric acid is a dilute solution of perchloric acid used in analytical chemistry for titration and sample preparation. Despite its lower concentration, it remains a powerful oxidizing agent and requires careful handling to prevent skin and respiratory irritation. 2N perchloric acid is employed in the determination of metal ions, preparation of perchlorate salts, and as a catalyst in certain organic reactions. Proper storage in a cool, well-ventilated area and adherence to safety protocols are essential to ensure safe usage and prevent hazardous reactions.
