AMMONIUM CHLORIDE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Ammonium chloride is a white crystalline compound with the chemical formula NH4Cl. It is used as a fertilizer, a flux in metalworking, and in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and batteries. Ammonium chloride is also employed in cough medicine as an expectorant. While relatively non-toxic, it can cause skin and eye irritation upon contact. Proper handling and storage are essential to ensure safety.
