AMMONIUM THIOSULFATE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Ammonium thiosulfate is a white crystalline compound with the chemical formula (NH4)2S2O3. It is used in photographic fixing baths, as a fertilizer, and in the leaching of gold and silver from ores. Ammonium thiosulfate is also employed in the water treatment industry to neutralize chlorine and in the textile industry as a dechlorinating agent. While relatively non-toxic, it can cause skin and eye irritation upon contact. Proper handling and storage are essential to ensure safety.
