Cerous nitrate is a white or pale yellow crystalline compound with the chemical formula Ce(NO3)3. It is used in various industrial applications, including as a catalyst in chemical reactions and in the glass and ceramics industries. Cerous nitrate is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
