CRESOLS Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics
Cresols are a group of colorless to yellow liquids with a phenolic odor, represented by the chemical formula C7H8O. They are used as disinfectants and in the manufacture of certain chemicals. Cresols are highly toxic and can cause severe skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
