Ethyl stearate is a colorless liquid with a mild odor, represented by the chemical formula C20H40O2. It is used as a solvent, in the manufacture of cosmetics and personal care products, and as an intermediate in the synthesis of various chemicals. Ethyl stearate is relatively non-toxic but can cause skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
