FLUOROSILICIC ACID Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Fluorosilicic acid is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor, represented by the chemical formula H2SiF6. It is used in water fluoridation, as a catalyst, and in the manufacture of certain chemicals. Fluorosilicic acid is highly corrosive and can cause severe skin and respiratory irritation upon exposure. Proper handling, storage, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential to ensure safety.
