ZINC HYDROSULFITE Chemical compatibility with O-rings, rubbers, & plastics

Zinc hydrosulfite, also known as zinc dithionite, is a chemical compound with the formula ZnS₂O₄. It is a white crystalline powder used primarily as a reducing agent in the textile industry for bleaching and dyeing processes. Zinc hydrosulfite effectively removes color from fabrics and improves the brightness of white textiles. It is also used in the paper industry for bleaching pulp and in water treatment processes to remove contaminants. Due to its reducing properties, zinc hydrosulfite is employed in various chemical reactions and industrial processes. Proper handling and storage are essential to prevent decomposition and ensure safe use.
